Reflexology, Aromatherapy Courses
Starting in June and September 2008 at Fernanda's Beauty Products
Dates will be decided by our school once we have the interest of six students minimum per course.
A list of the course outlines and the cost involved are listed below:
Course #1 Biology / Anatomy course (mandatory for the certified courses)
This course will offer the basic systems of the body and the functions of these systems.
Diagrams will be studied and a general understanding of how the systems work together to maintain order in the body.
This course will provide the basis for the certified courses and will be mandatory for all those whom wish to pursue the aroma therapy certified course and the reflexology certified course.
Investment:
This course is $200.00 and is offered mostly as home study, with some assistance and four hours of in class, testing will occur at the end of course.
Course #2 The Aromatherapy Certified course
This course certifies the student to become an aroma therapist.
This allows the pupil to practice aroma therapy in Canada with the knowledge of safe and effective practice.
In depth study of essential oils and the knowledge to blend and utilize in therapies will be attained.
The history of the oils and their medicinal uses will also be studied in depth.
The student will have the skill and knowledge to perform inhalations, massage and other applications.
The student will also possess the knowledge to accurately choose oils for the client taking into consideration the contraindications and side effects with certain health conditions.
Criteria/in class study must be completed by the student, as well as written exam in order to obtain certification by the school.
This course is offered for five days 10 am until 1:30 pm

This course has a total cost of $800.00
Graduates usually charge $52.00 -$ 65.00 per hour for these sessions once completing this certificate.
#3 the Certified Reflexology Course
This course teaches the history of reflexology.
The student touches on historical uses of this therapy and the effect this therapy has on the present day.
The student acquires the skill to practice this therapy and how each trigger point or reflex relates to corresponding organs and ailments within the body.
The student will also learn how to bring the body to a balance and assist the client with relaxation.
This course also studies the foot and conditions which may affect the feet and the outcome of the therapy utilizing the reflex points.
This course is offered in 10 am until 1pm for five days.
As well the student will have to complete 60 feet for home study and do a physical exam on a model person for the teacher.

Students usually charge $45.00-$58.00 per hour for these sessions once completing this certificate.
