As you are aware, Zerran’s RealLisse is a revolutionary new smoothing system that is based on unique patented technology to achieve smooth, silky hair. This formula depends upon precise high heat in order to silken without harsh chemicals, gloves, or masks.

For this reason, it is important to determine flatiron temperature before initiating the service. The flatiron must maintain a temperature between 440-450°F during the service for satisfactory effect.

While many flatirons show a reading of 450°F on display, there have been actual temperature discrepancies leading to disappointing results.

You can use a TruTemp thermometer. Please allow the flatiron in question to heat up for 3-5 minutes before placing the thermometer tip in the center of the plates and closing the iron lightly. (see below) Please hold for one minute to allow for an accurate reading. The temperature will likely vary slightly during that one minute, which is normal for this type of appliance.

In the case that the flatiron in question does not maintain 440-450°F, Zerran’s custom flatiron is strongly recommended for the best quality results.
