Learn the tools and knowledge to Perform Safe & Effective Dermaplaning Treatments. 

Your Success is Our Success! We wanted to create a course where the practitioner was educated for success with the ability to correctly assess a client, explain how Dermaplaning works for different skin concerns and understand the proper treatment technique.  Dermaplaning acts to superficially exfoliate the skin and remove vellus hairs, commonly referred to as ‘peach fuzz’ from the skin’s surface. A scalpel is used to gently scrape the stratum corneum, essentially ‘shaving’ the skin. This procedure has become a popular treatment as it is quick (generally around 20-30 minutes), has no downtime, few to no adverse effects and can be done on all skin types. By removing surface debris, such as dead skin cells and hair, a smooth skin surface is created which reflects the light better, making skin appear healthier. It also allows the skin to become more receptive of skincare products as the dead skin cells have been removed the course steps through every aspect of the procedure starting with patient consultation and concerns, moving through contraindications, treatable conditions, then settings and treatment technique. At completion you will have the tools, knowledge and guidance to perform safe and effective Dermaplaning treatments.   In this class you will learn:

• The History & Benefits of Dermaplaning
• How it works
• Combining Dermaplaning with other treatments in your spa, Including using Jelly Mask
• Contraindications to treatment
• Proper sanitation of instruments and infection protection
• Methodology for Dermaplaning treatment including maneuvering the instrument, clinical end points, and post procedure options.
• Pre-treatment skin analysis and explanation of the procedure to the client
• Combining other technologies with Dermaplaning

 Includes Complete Kit & Manual, Poster 16×24.

CERTIFICATION: Certificate awarded upon successful completion.

**PRE-REQUISTE:  Must be certified Aesthetician (Proof of Certificate must be provided at time of Registration)
